KLM Business Class Seats Reservation Not Guaranteed?
This is something we read from Facebook a few days ago and something that I would like to share. This is a complaint by Jannifur Yoh on KLM Official Facebook Page. Usually we don’t blog thing like this but what we found interesting is the response by the KLM social media team for the complaint. So the complaint goes like this.

The worst fucking airlines in the world! Paid for the seats on Business Class to be seated together from Amsterdam to Copenhagen.. Itinerary shows my husband and I are seated together. Get to the airport goto check in and they have us seated separately!!!The check-in staff say no problem the people at the gate will will issue new boarding passes so that we are seated together, the “senior agent'” at the gate say that she knows nothing about it and that the check in staff are lying and if we want we can go back outside and bring it up with the check in staff alternatively if we want to get on the flight we will just have to deal with it!!!
Basically gave us the option to seat separately and make the flight or go and argue and miss the flight. For fucks sake we booked and reserved seats together we have an itinerary that clearly shows that we have reserved seats and that we are seated together. Nobody gives a shit, the shemale at the gate refused to even look at our itinerary, she just rolled her eyes and kept repeating ‘seat separately and get on this flight or miss the flight and take it up with the check in staff’
You fuckers all work for the same company but you all act like you don’t. And this is not the first time that this has happened with KLM two years ago similar issue, I will not forget this time and never again.
We don’t know who is Jannifuh Yoh even though she has quite a number of mutual friends with us. Let’s say we can’t confirm how true are these allegations and this is how the KLM social media team responded.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines: We regret to learn you were not seated together during your trip, Jannifer. We can completely understand your frustration and we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by this. Although you can reserve your seats in advance, we can’t guarantee these seats will be given to you as operational issues may cause passengers to be seated separately. We hope that despite this you had a pleasant journey. We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience and if there is anything else we can do for you, don’t hesitate to contact us again.
This is the interesting part we wanted to highlight.
Although you can reserve your seats in advance, we can’t guarantee these seats will be given to you as operational issues may cause passengers to be seated separately.
We all know what is called seats reservations, when you reserved a seat with confirmation, you will get the seat or similar arrangement. What puzzled us is it is a Business Class reservation which means passengers get ‘better treatment’? In this case, Jannifur didn’t and of course she was angry. It is not cheap to fly from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on Business Class and the cabin crews didn’t bother to help. The response from KLM really surprised us. If a Business Class seat reservation cannot be guaranteed, what are the chances of regular Economy Class seat reservations?
Jannifur Yoh …no despite this we did NOT have a pleasant journey. It seems that KLM goes out of it’s way to be rude, aggressive, threatening and racist! And to think that we actually paid to be treated this way! Seriously your staff and your airline is just one BIG con job! I hope that no one ever treats you or your family the way that your staff treat us. Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing that I can do about it, as your staff at the gate told us: “Sue us” but I am not rich enough to sue, I am not important enough to make a difference, all I can do (to the best of my ability) is share this with everyone and anyone. According to the small print on the ticket your company does reserve the right to change seats, flights etc…..but they DONT receive the right to be complete and utter racist DICKHEADS! Shame on you, shame on your staff and shame on your Airline.

3.2 In the event of a regular seat not being provided to you, you are entitled to a refund, representing the amount paid for the regular seat, for that specific part of the journey, in the following cases:
- You have been moved to a seat with a different seat number in the same aircraft type.
The big question is will she gets her refund for the seat allocation as stated on terms and condition?
