Have you heard of beer ATM? It is very popular in Ireland and you pay how much you drink using a pre-paid card. The good news it is now available in Malaysia at Tap It Out Solaris. This is the first of its kind beer ATM in Malaysia and probably in Asia.
They are located on K-01-05, Soho KL (Second floor, right above Caffe Bene), No. 2, Jalan Solaris, Solaris Mont Kiara. You just take the elevator beside Caffe Bene and you will spot Tap It Out with its striking yellow colour sign board.
First few things you should know about Tap It Out. They offer 9 types of draught beers and they have 22 beer taps.
You need to purchase the pre-paid card for RM 50, RM 100 and above. You will keep the card and use the card to purchase the drink from the tap.

After you purchased your beer ATM pre-paid card, put it on the screen and select the beer you preferred. Then pour the amount you wish and it will calculate how much you have poured.
The beer ATM pre-paid card credits are non-refundable but you can use it any other time.
By pouring the amount of beer you want means it is lesser wastage. It is more efficient this way and everyone enjoy the drinking session.
There are also snacks available in Tap it Out and in general the food is good. It goes well with the beer.

Prepaid beer is a good idea and avoids getting drunks to settle their bill. I can just imagine how difficult that is! I don’t drink beef but I’d definitely love to come by for the beer food!
