Brasserie Fritz WOLO Bukit Bintang US Potato Culinary Menu
Brasserie Fritz is a French restaurant located on the Ground Floor of WOLO in Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant is opposite of Lot 10 Shopping Mall and it is just next to the Pavilion MRT station exit and a stone throw away to StarHill Gallery and Pavilion KL.
From the outside, it looks like a glass house but once you step in, you will be mesmerised by the French inspired interior and ambiance.
They open from 8 am until midnight and they serve all day breakfast, lunch, high tea, happy hour and dinner.
They make and bake their own breads, pastries and cakes. Brasserie Fritz seems to be an all rounder restaurant cum bakery.
We were there for the exclusive U.S. Potato Culinary Menu in conjunction of the annual U.S. Potato Culinary Festival. This year, U.S. Potato Board collaborates with 14 restaurants in Klang Valley to serve an exclusive limited-time menu featuring U.S. fresh and frozen potatoes.
Do you know that U.S. potatoes contain high “solids” and low sugar content? Not forgetting that the U.S. industry standards are demanding and must meet all Food and Drug Administration and USDA specifications. Thus, potatoes are in dispensable source of nutrient and 148g potato packs only 110 calories and rich with potassium and Vitamin C.
For this festival, Brasserie Fritz offers two potatoes dishes using the U.S. Russet Potatoes which is Patata Bravas and Duck Confit.
The first impression of the Patata Bravas is the bite size nugget looking potatoes. This is crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.
On top of that you get generous topping of shaved parmesan cheese. We love the texture of this, crispy and soft and you get hints of the coffee flavour of the artichoke puree base as well as the parmesan cheese.
We are sure the kids will enjoy this. This is bite size but packed with flavours.
For the Duck Confit, the U.S Potato is used as the mashed potatoes as the side dish which complements well with the duck confit. We love their version of duck confit, the texture of the meat is tender and you eat it with the mashed potatoes and mustard sauce, you get the additional texture and hints of the mustard sauce. The duck confit carries a slight saltiness in flavour but it is balanced well with the mashed potatoes.

On top of the U.S Potatoes featured dishes, we also tasted some of their other food such as Salmon Tartar, Prawn Cocktails and Anchovies on Toast.
Overall, we love the ambiance and the environment of Brasserie Fritz. The food here is consistently good and the service here is top notch. This beautiful restaurant is very photogenic and it offers a different mood during the day and night. The best part is it is near all the popular places in Kuala Lumpur and it is just next to the Pavilion MRT Station.
