Shun De Gong Restaurant (順德公私房菜)is one of the hiddem gems in Fahrenheit 88. Located at the Ground Floor facing StarHill Gallery, Shun De Gong Restaurant (順德公私房菜)specializes shunde cuisine which is originated from Guangdong province in China.

The first shunde cuisine we had was in Hong Kong at Fung Shing Restaurant (鳳城酒家) in Nathan Road. We also had shunde cuisine in Kuala Lumpur in restaurants like Youmiqi, ST Restaurant and Shunde Seafood.

You can easily spot the restaurant with the wooden exterior and the interior is a typical Chinese restaurant design with wooden chairs and tables. We were there for dinner with our family and friends.

Since we are having dinner with our boys, we ordered some of the dishes for them such as the steamed minced meat with mushroom and the deep fried homemade fish cake.

This is a lovely dish for the kids. Steamed minced meat with mushroom goes well with rice and the kids love this.

Their version of deep fried homemade fish cake is tasty and delicious. Our boys love this very much.

The seafood hotpot comes with crabs, prawns, clams and fish. It is a huge portion and good for sharing with four people.

If you watch the video, the broth is still boiling and you can spot all the seafood in the huge pot. The broth is flavourful as it gets all the natural taste from the seafood. Not forgetting the seafood is fresh. However, it is not cheap though as the hot pot is priced over RM 200.

Shun De Gong Restaurant is probably the one of the few restaurants that offers shunde cuisine in the city centre. If you check their Facebook Page, they do host many local and Hong Kong celebrities. With its ideal location, you don’t expect the prices here to be cheap. However, we always believe that you need to pay more for good food.
