Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar is Closing Down at The Gardens Mall

For the past few weeks, we have been blogging many restaurants closing down in Klang Valley. They are Nana’s Green Tea at The Gardens Mall, Pablo Cheesetart outlets and Harrods Cafes in Malaysia. Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar is Closing Down at The Gardens Mall but due to other reasons.

We reviewed Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar at The Gardens Mall in 2012 which is six years ago. We had really good Mexican food that evening and we ended the dinner with 17 years old Hibiki Japanese whisky (it is obsolete now) and you can read the review here.

Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar’s closure at The Gardens Mall is due to a major renovation work at the entrance where Fresca is located. The mall offered the restaurant relocation options but turned down due conceptual reasons.

Dear Friends of Fresca,

Regretfully, after a wonderful 6.5 year journey, we announce the upcoming closure of our Fresca outlet at the Gardens Mall.

The decision not to continue our first & flagship outlet was by no means an easy one. The Mall is undergoing major renovation works at its entrance where Fresca is located, and as part of these new plans, Fresca would be given a less desirable configuration with limited access from the Mall. Relocation options had to be turned down as they were unsuitable for our concept.

The good news is that you can continue to get your Mexican fix at our Avenue-K outlet (Ground Floor opposite KLCC). This outlet was opened 4 years ago, backed by popular demand from our customers who wished to see a city centre presence. We will continue to serve up our signature Tacos, Enchiladas, Fajitas and Churros (to name a few!) that we have come to be known for.

Fresca was set up by two food-loving and adventure-seeking siblings who fell in love with Mexican food and its vibrant culture. Mexican is a niche cuisine by any standard in Kuala Lumpur and it was always a big leap of faith for them to embark on this journey. A big thanks goes to our fans, many of whom have come to know our loyal team of servers as good friends.

We invite you to join us for one last revelry on the weekend of 10-12 August (Fri-Sun) at Fresca Gardens Mall. Lots of delicious Margaritas and Tacos (+ discounted sangria, tequila etc.) to celebrate over 6 years of wonderful memories!

Once again, we are ever so grateful to everyone who has supported us through the years and hope to see you one last time on or before 12 August!

Please take note that Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar is still opened in Avenue-K (opposite KLCC). We do hope they will open another outlet. =)
