This is 6 Days 5 Nights Hokkaido Sapporo Chitose Itinerary Day 5 and we take our flight back to Malaysia on the last day (Day 6) with AirAsia X first thing in the morning. We checked out from our apartment in Sapporo to stay in Chitose as the hotel provides shuttle bus to the airport.
Kirin Beer Garden Sapporo
We have updated this post as we found out the restaurant we visited is already closed and allocated to another place.

AreaOne Hotel Chitose
The AreaOne Hotel is located at Chitose and it is near the Chitose Train Station and it is two stops away to New Chitose Airport Station. The hotel is around 5 minutes of walking from the Chitose Train Station and in fact you can spot the hotel from the station.
This not a new hotel and you can tell it from the design. First impression, the staffs are very friendly and they reminded to book the shuttle bus to transfer to the airport.
They offer public hot bath or hot spring facilities but we didn’t go because we wanted to go to RERA Chitose Outlet Mall.

RERA Chitose Outlet Mall
RERA Chitose Outlet Mall is not as huge as Mitsui Premium Outlet but it is near Minami-Chitose Station (less than 5 minutes of walk). You can check out the outlets in their website at http://www.outlet-rera.com/english/#sec02
There are not many premium brands in RERA Chitose Outlet Mall but you can find many popular sport brands such as Adidas, NIKE, Reebok (under ABC-Mart), GAP, Champion, LEGO, Kappa, Zara, Clarks, Columbia, North Face, COACH, Seiko, Calvin Klein Underwear, Triumph, Sylvanian Families, Samsonite, Element and more. We had dinner at RERA Chitose Outlet Mall before we took the train back to the hotel. It has been a non-stop five days in Sapporo and Otaru so we need a good rest in the hotel before the early flight on the last day.
