Where to buy roast duck in Puchong? You will probably hear the name ‘Soon Lok’. Restoran Soon Lok is a Chinese restaurant located along Jalan Kenari 20, Bandar Puchong Jaya. This area is popular with restaurants and cafes and finding a parking spot is a challenge.

Restoran Soon Lok is air conditioned and you can easily spot the restaurants with the hanging roast ducks in front of the restaurant. This is a popular restaurant and it is often packed during dinner time on weekends.

We went to this restaurant twice with our family and this is our first time blogging about it.

Let’s start with their signature roast duck. Their version of roast duck comes with crispy skin and pretty good texture for the meat. We enjoyed their version of roast duck and the taste is good. However, we do prefer roast duck that comes with more fat as it gives more flavours in terms of taste.

We ordered the Hong Kong Kai Lan and the texture is crunchy and the taste is pretty good.

The stirred fried mushroom is nothing to shout about as we thought the taste is quite subtle.

Their version of four heavenly kings (vegetables) consists of brinjal, long beans, petai and lady’s finger. The taste of this better and we wished to have more chili sauce for this.

The sweet and sour pork is good and our kids loved it. The texture of the meat is soft and our boys loved this.

Sizzling Japanese tofu with egg. This is another classic dish for kids and the taste of this is really good. Our boys enjoyed this as well and this goes well with rice.

Steamed fish with light soy sauce. The fish is steamed to perfection, the fish was fresh and the texture of the fish is just right. This is another dish that our boys enjoyed very much.

Lastly, we ordered the sizzling seafood with assam sauce. To be honest, we enjoyed this very much as the sauce is strong in flavour and we enjoyed the squid and the prawns.

Overall, there are some hits and misses in terms of the taste of the food here. The roast duck, the fish, the seafood and the tofu are good while the other dishes are just average. Maybe we ordered the wrong food but anyhow the restaurant is always packed.
