Mezze Bistro KL Christmas Menu 2019
This is the month of the year and where is the place to celebrate Christmas in Kuala Lumpur? It is time to check out Mezze Bistro Kuala Lumpur. Mezze Bistro KL is nestled in the quiet neighbourhood of Medan Damansara and they also offer wine and cigar bar.
The 2 storey Mezze Bistro KL offers private area and private room on the upper level. It is ideal for parties, events, gathering or reunions on your own privacy. This is a beautiful restaurant with raw and rustic charm. We reviewed the restaurant nine years ago and this is our recent visit to Mezze Bistro Kuala Lumpur.
For this Christmas, they offer a new menu for dining and cocktail and this is something you can look forward to during this festive month.
This is Gammon Ham with cranberry sauce. The gammon ham is the hind of the pork and it has amazing texture and tasty. The sauce adds the sweetness taste to the ham and complements well with the bread.
Andouille Sausage and Shrimp
The andouille sausage is spicy but it is very flavourful and tasty. The shrimp is tasty and you have taste this with the sausage and the bread.
Country Style Terrine of Duck and Foie Gras
This is the first time we are having the country style terrine of duck and foie gras. If you are a duck lover, you must order this. The country style of terrine is a type of pate and their version comes with sautéed onions. The taste is well balance and we love the texture of the duck and the taste of the foie gras. This complements well with the bread.
Hazelnut Cracker and Pump’ in My Heart
For this Christmas, the Mezze bar offers two cocktails and they are Hazelnut Cracker and Pump’ in My Heart. This is a HIS and HER cocktails for this festive season.
On top of their new Christmas menu, we ordered some of the food from their current menu. For starters, we ordered the Mediterranean Dips Duo, French Onion Soup and Burrata with Grapes
Mediterranean Dips Duo
The sea salt sourdough comes with two sauces and they are the charred capsicum dip and homemade hummus and served with rosemary. The homemade hummus is creamy and strong with chickpeas taste while the charred capsicum dip is spicy with the crunchy texture of the nuts.
Burrata with Grapes
Burrata is buffalo mozzarella cheese and it comes with caramelized black grapes and fresh basil. For cheese lover, you must order the burrata and the serving is good for three to four person.
French Onion Soup
Their version of French onion soup come with gruyere cheese crostini. The gruyere cheese crostini offer additional texture to the tasty French onion soup.
For mains, we ordered the Duck Leg Confit, Spicy Vongole and Gourmet Cheeseburger.
Duck Leg Confit
For those who are familiar with dug leg confit, the process of cooking this takes a long time and lots of skills. Their version of duck leg confit is slow-cooked on smoked spicy sausage and cannellini cassoulet with spicy beetroot chutney. The skin crispy while the meat is soft and well flavoured and it complements well with the spicy beetroot chutney. We love this dish.
The Spicy Vongole is linguine pasta Aglio e Olio style with pepperoncino and chives with generous amount of clams. The texture of the pasta is al-dente and we enjoyed the spicy style of Aglio e Olio style.
Their gourmet cheeseburger is 200g freshly ground beef patty, marinated and grilled it to perfection. It comes with smoked cheese, lettuce, tomato ketchup, mustard and sweet potato chips.
To be honest, their gourmet cheeseburger is heavenly. The texture of the patty is soft and it is well flavoured, cooked with perfection and this is so good!
Lastly, for desserts we ordered Chocolaate Royal and Crepes Suzette.
The Chocolate Royal is Chef Yves’ luxurious Valrhona mousse cake atop a crunchy, praline base Crepes Suzette. This is strong with chocolate flavour with crunchy texture and many might find this taste familiar and similar to Ferrero Rocher. This is better than Ferrero Rocher in our opinion and this sinful cake is a must order.
This is French pancake topped with caramelized sugar, butter, orange juice & zest, Grand Marnier, served with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. This is sweet, savoury and sinful and a great way to end our dinner at Mezze Bistro Kuala Lumpur.
Mezze Bistro Kuala Lumpur opens from Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 1 am, Friday from 12 pm to 1 am and Saturday from 10 am to 1 am and they are closed on Sundays.
