Almost Full Flight To Bangkok Thailand

We are currently in Bangkok right now after we attended Singha Park Valentine’s Day Balloon Fiesta 2020 in Chiang Rai. Like many other concern travellers out there and some of them who messaged us on Facebook and Instagram, ‘Is it safe to travel to Bangkok now?’.

Before we talk about that, let us show you our AirAsia flight from KLIA2 to Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport). We were seated at the first row of the plane, Hot SEAT Row 1 and many people do not purchase HOT SEATS as it is really expensive on the first few rows. We were flying on flight FD 0312 via Thai Airasia from KLIA 2 to Don Mueang Bangkok.

The booking of the flight is almost full and some might not turn up due to the current corona virus. Hence, we were seated first and then we took this picture before the plane was fully boarded.

Is the flight full? The answer is around 70% – 80% on our flight and this do not represent other flights from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok and we noticed most travellers are Malaysians with mixture of other foreigners.

Now, is it safe to travel to Bangkok now? The answer is how you look at it. We think it is safe if you wear a mask and keep your hygiene by washing your hands often and try not to touch your face too much. Let’s be honest, there is always risk wherever you are, even in the shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur. Hence, there is always risk when you drive on the road. We can’t say it is 100% safe to travel in Bangkok as there is always a risk. Taking a Grab or taxi or even on a train is a risk. As much as we want to encourage everyone to travel to Bangkok, we always keep it realistic. Risk is always around and it is how you look at it.

Is Bangkok full of tourists? We visited Chinatown last night and the crowd is 50% lesser than it was in November 2019. There are more locals and Westerners in Chinatown Bangkok than Chinese tourists now.
