Himawari Japanese Cuisine Taman Desa

Himawari Japanese Cuisines is one of the few Japanese restaurants in Taman Desa. It is located on the first floor above Worldwide Pets and Apple Samgyupsal. Just take the stairs beside Worldwide Pets and you will reach Himawari Japanese Cuisine.

We read a few blogs recommending on this restaurant, so we went there for dinner with our family. The restaurant is decorated with Japanese ‘noren’ (curtain) and with wooden tables and chairs.

Not forgetting, the Japanese lanterns as lamps. This simple design with Japanese decorations that gives you the Japanese vibes.

The usual salmon teppanyaki with lots of cabbage and mushrooms comes with Japanese rice, chawanmushi and miso soup. You can taste the freshness of the salmon and enjoy the chawanmushi and miso soup.

The sukiyaki pork belly comes with raw eggs, salad and Japanese rice. We enjoyed the taste of the sukiyaki and hope they are more generous with the pork belly.

Korokke is deep fried mashed potato with minced pork. The outer layer is deep fried to crispiness with the soft inner texture. We enjoyed this Korokke, the taste and the texture.

Himawari Japanese Cuisine at Taman Desa offer decent Japanese cuisine. This feels like a neighbourhood restaurant offering ‘home cooked’ style Japanese food. If you have craving for decent Japanese food and lazy to drive out of Taman Desa, Himawari Japanese Cuisine is the place to visit.
