Over 3000 Rooms Booked in Pahang

This is another news on our local domestic tourism in Malaysia. There are more than 3000 Rooms Booked in Pahang according to the Facebook post by Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pelancongan, Alam Sekitar dan Perladangan Negeri Pahang (Chairman of Pahang State Tourism and Culture Committee), Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin . There are over 3000 rooms from 38,000 rooms booked until midnight yesterday in Pahang after the government announced that the interstate travel is allowed.

According to Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin, these are the total bookings involved over 500 hotels, motels, resorts, chalets and homestays.

He mentioned that one hotel in Cameron Highlands received more than 300 room bookings just in a couple of hours after the announcement of lifting the interstate travel ban by the Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday.

On top of Cameron Highlands, other destinations such as Kuantan, Cherating and Rompin also received booking from tourists.

There are a few popular hotels in Taman Negara (National Park) received bookings as traditionally it receives 66% International tourists.

Please take note that the 3000 room bookings are for the entire state of Pahang which include popular tourist destinations like Cameron Highlands, Kuantan, Cherating, Rompin, Tioman Island, Genting Highlands and more.
