For those who are familiar with this part of Tokyo, you are either a regular traveller or a bargain hunter. We blogged about this place four years ago and it was recommended by a tour guide. What is interesting about Ameya Yokocho Ueno is they offer out of season items as well as discounted food items. Hence, this place is always lively with lots of retail outlets and food stalls too. Jumbo Doner Kebab is one of the food stalls you can find at Ameya Yokocho Ueno Tokyo.

Jumbo Doner Kebab is just a regular kebab stall at Ueno Tokyo but it is also one of the grab and go food available. On top of that, they are one of the few HALAL food stalls available in this part of Tokyo.

The stall is located at Ameyoko Center Building, you will notice the stall as they are located at the main road. It is always nice to have kebab during cold days or just for a quick pit stop.

The chicken kebab is 500 Yen and beef kebab is 600 Yen per piece. We noticed that the food prices remained the same after so many years. We visited Ameya Yokocho since 2014 and the price remains the same.

I usually ordered mix beef and chicken for 500 Yen. The portion is quite generous while the beef and chicken kebab is well marinated and tasty. The spicy sauce also complement well with the kebab. It is comfort food that you can find here at Jumbo Doner Kebab Ueno Tokyo.

To be honest, this is probably the cheapest food you can find here. A bowl of ramen is usually around 600-700 Yen so for kebab, this is pretty value for money.

What we like here is they also offer benches for you to take a quick meal before continue shopping at Ameya Yokocho Ueno Tokyo. This is Jumbo Doner Kebab Ueno Tokyo and I am sure many frequent Tokyo travellers will miss this food place.
