The Alexander Shorokhoff NEVA 01-01 & 02-01 is \cCalm and powerful, simple an beautiful, emotional and accomplished. This sums up the limited edition Neva from Alexander Shorokhoff. In 2019, Alexander Shorokhov made drawings for the Neva during a business trip to St Petersburg. He was inspired by the mighty and most water-rich European river, Neva – a 74km long river in Russia, which flows from Lake Ladoga into the Neva Bay of the Baltic Sea, passing through St Petersburg. With its 340 bridges and magnificent palaces, St Petersburg is also known as the ‘Venice of the North’. From this inspiration, the wavy guilloché of the dial was created.

This is transferred to the upper and slightly smaller dial. There, the hour markers are punched out. The lower dial bears the ‘Alexander Shorokhoff’ logo as well as the minute and second markings. The dial thus looks simple, but still beautiful. The small curved second hand bears the shape of the letter ‘N’, referring to the name of the watch as well as the magnificence of the city through its curved shape.

The blued hands create a necessary contrast on the cool silver appearance of the dial, making it easier to read the time. With this color combination, the model looks a bit cooler, but the wavy guilloché of the dial balances this feeling. This turns the watch into a harmonious object of art. The Neva is available in two different case finishes: a cool stainless steel and a blued look.

The stainless steel case is completed with a genuine crocodile leather strap in a light blue, water-like shade. The style is consistently maintained, with precise thought being given to every element of the watch. The blue IP coated model is completed with a white strap, giving it an emotional finish saturated with blue-white contrasts. An unusual combination for the watch industry, but not for Alexander Shorokhoff watches.

The brand is known for these unusual and innovative creations. This is what makes Alexander Shorokhoff creations stand out. For the movement, a Russian caliber – the Poljot 3105 movement is used. It is derived from the Swiss Valjoux caliber 7734, but without chronograph function. The movement is completely overhauled, re-oiled, adjusted and tested at the Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufacture. The bridges are hand-engraved or cloud-cut, and the screws are polished and blued. The beauty of the hand-engraved and decorated movement can be viewed through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Each model is limited to only 49 pieces worldwide.
