Uncle Roger closing his restaurant in IPC
It has been a while since I last blogged, as I’ve been enjoying creating video content more nowadays. How times have changed and how fast things move! I posted the story of Uncle Roger closing his restaurant (Fuiyoh! It’s Uncle Roger) in IPC on my Facebook Page, and it went viral.
Later, I was in Pavilion KL, so I dropped by and made a short video. It wasn’t peak hour and it was the month of Ramadan, so the crowd was naturally smaller. That video also went viral, drawing a lot of hate from both haters and followers.
I am a big fan of Uncle Roger and have been to his restaurant at least five times. They invited me for reviews; I went once with my boys, and it was good. I even brought my brother and my parents to try the fried rice, and they enjoyed it.
I understand the hate because he always roasts others, which tends to attract detractors. His comedy might not suit everyone, but that’s the case for most comedians.
IPC is a challenging location because it is a community mall; footfall is lower compared to other popular malls. They made a quick announcement regarding their exit from the Central i-City outlet but took the post down hours later.
He is opening his first restaurant in London, and I wish him all the best in his new venture and his future shows.
