Welcome and thank you for supporting PlacesAndFoods.com. PlacesAndFoods.com is a travel and food blog. We (Wilson Ng & Rachel Ting) enjoy sharing our passion as we travel locally and also internationally. We enjoy exploring new places and also seeing new things as we travel. Personally, I had been sponsored to Thailand by Tourism Authority of Thailand for food and travel reviews since September 2009 and also to Argentina for a 4×4 Expedition for 4 weeks. I’m also recently selected as one of 12 finalists of Thailand Medical Blog Contest and also invited for a 9 days tour to Victoria courtesy of Tourism Victoria and Tourism Australia.
We also work hand with hand with Tourism Boards such as Tourism Authority of Thailand, Tourism Philippines, Tourism Victoria, Tourism Tasmania, Tourism Australia, Tourism Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia Perlis and Singapore Tourism Board to promote their destinations as well as their hotels and resorts. We also work closely with travel agents, travel magazines, telcos and hotel chains for promotions. We also offer services such as hotel, resort and spa reviews.
We had many food reviews invitation in the past. However, due to our work and our personal commitments, we decided to slow down on our food reviews. We also work closely with Asian Food Channel to promote their events in Malaysia. Up to date, we have done more than 200+ food reviews in both locally and internationally.
PlacesAndFoods.com won the World Blogger and Social Media Awards 2012 for the BEST TRAVEL BLOG.
PlacesAndFoods.com also won Malaysia International Tourism Duty Free Shopping Blog for Malaysia International Tourism Bloggers Conference and Awards 2012.

I have read your trip journal of Pantagonia from malay mail dated May 04. I would like to get traveling tips from you for my big trip next year calls World End Trip covered South America, Africa and Middle East. I am ‘lone ranger’ backpacker and have been backpacked to South East Asia, East Asia, Central Asia, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Mexico, Europe (except Serbia, Baltic States & Scadinavia).
I plan to bcakpack South America, Africa and Middle East, Central Asia by land in 2011. The trip gonna takes 15 months. Pantagonia is ‘must-place’ of the trip. I would like to get details of ur trip to Pantagonia.

I’m sure that there will be private tour companies offering Patagonia trip in Argentina but it’s going to be very expensive. Traveling on our own with 4x4WorldExplorer.com is not cheap either. We filled up the cars everyday and its more than RM 100+ per day, just on petrol. That’s exclusive some of the hotels we stayed in certain places. Towns like Bariloche and San Martin would cost a bomb in lodging. I will be spreading the Patagonia stories in details here, please do come back often as there are more to come. I update my blog almost daily and thanks for reading.
