About Us

Welcome to my blog, PlacesAndFoods.com. Many asked me why Places And Foods with a wrong spelling of the food(s). The reason being was, I registered the domain too quickly until I didn’t realize it was a spelling error. Since then, it was no turning back. An editor of a local magazine told me once, it’s catchy!

I loved traveling and only able to do so in my early 20s. I traveled to places like Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia, United States of America and lately Argentina. I hope in this upcoming few years, I can visit more places.

I grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Spending most of my life in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. I’m going to be 32 this year and I’m married to my wife, Rachel. We married last year and going to have our wedding dinner this September. We enjoy traveling and looking for good food.

I work as a video producer. My company specializes in MCP (Multiple Camera Production), Event coverage, Video Live Feed coverage, Corporate Video production and video format conversions. I could be contacted for work via my email at wilson [at] focusimage.net

I do most of the front desk work for PlacesAndFoods.com. Photography and updating the blog will be my task. I will be also doing most of the email replies as well as comment replies.

Rachel normally will do the copyrighting. She is the person behind the scenes and we usually travel together for her to do her work.

PlacesAndFoods.com is primarily a travel blog. We enjoy sharing our passion as we travel locally and also internationally.  We enjoy exploring new places and also seeing new things as we travel. Personally, I had been sponsored to Thailand for a food and travel review in September 2009 and also to Argentina for a 4×4 Expedition. I would like to thank our sponsors for the trust they have with us. We also do hotel and resort reviews and also spa reviews. I can be contacted at wilson [at] placesandfoods.com

PlacesAndFoods.com is also a food blog. We had many food reviews invitation in the past. However, due to our work and our personal commitments, we decided to slow down on our food reviews. Up to date, we have done more than 200+ food reviews in both locally and internationally.

We work hand with hand with Tourism Boards such as Tourism Authority of Thailand to promote their destinations as well as their hotels and resorts. We also offer services such as hotel, resort and spa reviews.

We do attend events at times and we also do Advertorials. To keep our traveling passion, we do Advertorials such as single or multiple posts Advertorials as well as Banner Ads from time to time for sustain our expenses. We are open for ideas and discussions for Advertorials. We charge based on project and please contact us at wilson [at] placesandfoods.com for rates.

So with this, I hope you enjoy reading our blog and if you need to ask us anything, please do email me (wilson [at] placesandfoods.com) or simply leave a comment on our blog. – Wilson Ng

    Hi Wilson,

My name is Kathleen and Im a PR Consultant with FacadePR. I would like to send an invitation to you for a Restaurant Launch at Desa Sri Hartamas the latest eatery to hit Kuala Lumpur. Its called SAMSARAA.

The people behind Samsaraa are our very own local funny man Harith Iskandar and FHM ” Girls Next Door Winner 2009″ Jezamine Lim.

Conceived to be particularly eclectic and attractive to everyone looking for good food. The Samsara, brings back the style and coolness of the city to the old Hartamas with an offering unavailable elsewhere in town, including a mouth-watering menu conceptualized by the local celebrities themselves.

You are invited to sample a variety of mouth-watering dishes.

Please send me your email add so that i could send you the invite.

    Thank you
    Kathleen

I’m sure that there will be private tour companies offering Patagonia trip in Argentina but it’s going to be very expensive. Traveling on our own with 4x4WorldExplorer.com is not cheap either. We filled up the cars everyday and its more than RM 100+ per day, just on petrol. That’s exclusive some of the hotels we stayed in certain places. Towns like Bariloche and San Martin would cost a bomb in lodging. I will be spreading the Patagonia stories in details here, please do come back often as there are more to come. I update my blog almost daily and thanks for reading.
