Hard Rock Cafe at Hard Rock Hotel, Penang

Almost knocked out when I reached back home today. Luckily, going back to Kuala Lumpur was traffic free. Yet, a stalled car near my house caused a massive crawl that shouldn’t been happening.

Yesterday, I posted a preview on the Hard Rock Cafe and that’s what I’m going to show you today.

Tomorrow its the official soft launch of the Hard Rock Hotel in Penang. Being a “kiasu” and also I was so happened in Penang, I decided to drop by for a visit.

I wasn’t lucky. Reached there around 8 pm, and it was still raining. It didn’t stop me, my client, Victor and cousin Yang for having a dinner though.

It’s hard for us to not noticed there’s a cool “Michael Jackson” guarding the entrance of the Hard Rock Cafe!

We started with a Jumbo Combo for RM 48++ A combination of spring rolls, chicken wings, potato skin, onion rings and chicken tenders. It came with 4 different types of sauces.

The Hickory BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger priced at RM 45++. The thick beef patty came with turkey bacon, was one of our favourites of the night!

Hickory BBQ Smoked Chicken (RM 28++) was next. It did surprise me as I thought it would be dry. I was so wrong. They did a fantastic job keeping the chicken tender and juicy and served with fries, coleslaw and beans. Recommended!

Lastly, we had the Thai Style Seafood Spaghetti. As recommended by the manager, this fusion dish was decently tasty. Spaghetti coated with unique thai style sauce while the dish came generously with seafood such as mussel, fish and prawns.

The bill came at around RM 200++, standard American outlet pricing. The place was a bit small compare to KL’s outlet but it was quite comfortable and the live band will be coming soon (place is opened quite recently). Service was good!

We decided to have a short tour around the hotel after the dinner.

The entrance itself and it was another showcase of beautiful lights in the hotel.

Now you understand why its called Hard Rock Hotel, the swimming pool is amazing! Note it was raining at that time.

Rachel could only hate me for not bringing her to this place, Beatles on the wall.

A few selected ground units can jumped to the pool from their balcony. Amazing!

Penangites will have a new cool place to hangout and its called Hard Rock Cafe and Hard Rock Hotel. It was a fruitful evening and the rain didn’t stop me for taking pictures.

Will come one day for the stay, as I will start to save on my piggy bank.
