Our Top 3 Hotel / Resort Stay in 2009
This year we started to blog more on travel and we managed to travel to Indonesia and Thailand. We went to our first trip to the beautiful island of Bali in Indonesia and also Krabi and Trang of Thailand. This year is also our first time being invited by Tourism Authority of Thailand for a blogging trip to Bangkok Thailand. From our experiences from all the hotels / resorts stay, we picked our top three this year.
3. Febri’s Hotel & Spa, Kuta-Bali, INDONESIA
This is one of the hotels we stayed on our maiden visit to Bali this year. Although it is not one of those posh 5 star hotels, Febri’s Hotel & Spa is conveniently located at the main road of Kuta and it is only minutes of walking to the shops, shopping centers, restaurants, pubs and the beautiful Kuta beach. The hotel has a huge swimming pool, offers good services and good food.

2. Ellie’s Hotel, Nusa Dua-Bali, INDONESIA
This is another hotel we stayed on our maiden visit to Bali this year. This is one of the best boutique hotels we stayed in recent years. Ellie’s Hotel as recommended by Lonely Planet stands alone from the usual hotels in Bali. The architecture of the hotel has a very strong influence of Balinese culture, staying in Ellie’s offer a different experience than the rest. The hotel has a small private swimming pool and limited rooms. Ellie’s Hotel offers good services and fresh ala-carte breakfast. This is highly recommended for those who want a quiet Balinese stay in Nusa Dua.

1. Amari Watergate Hotel, Bangkok, THAILAND
The best stay of this year goes to Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. As sponsored by Tourism Authority of Thailand, I stayed 3 nights at this 5 star hotel in Bangkok. Strategically located in Pratunam, this hotel is the best hotel for shopaholics. The hotel is located at the opposite of the wholesale shopping center, the Platinum Shopping Mall.
I loved how delicate was the services in this hotel. I enjoyed the complimentary dessert platter in the room and also the FREE WIFI services in the lobby. The room was huge, especially the bathroom.
This is the best hotel we stayed in Bangkok so far and the best for us this year.
