2005 BMW Williams Malaysia F1 Paddock Experience with Mark Webber and Nick Heidfeld
I have seen a few F1 races in Malaysia and the Malaysia F1 Paddock experience is always something to look for. In 2005, I was invited to meet and greet F1 drivers Mark Webber and Nick Heidfeld of BMW Williams F1 team at the Sepang International F1 Circuit’s Paddock in 2005 by Oris Watches Malaysia. Oris Watches is the official watch partner of Williams F1 Team.
This was me back then
I was given a brief tour to the actual BMW Williams paddock and also a lunch with MarkWebber and Nick Heidfeld. It was an educational tour on the basic info of the BMW Williams F1 car.
BMW Williams driver, Nick Heidfeld speaks to the media.
It is amazing to know that there are more than 250 sensors around a formula one car and also real time data exchange with UK counterparts during race day.
The meet and greet session with the drivers were entertaining as the medias threw many questions to them.
That was the last year of the partnership between BMW and Williams and Mark Webber almost won the F1 title last year with Red Bulls.
This year’s 2011 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix is one to watch. Korean popstar Rain is going to perform and there will be a 2 days free concert at Petronas Twin Towers. There is also the Malaysian GP sale in most shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur. This is a 2011 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix week indeed!
