Petronas Twin Towers Turn Pink for ESTEE LAUDER Breast Cancer Awareness
For the first time ever, Petronas Twin Towers get sexy with pink. The pink illumination is actually for a greater cause. As one of the most iconic landmarks in the world glows in pink, it shows a symbol of hope for a world free from breast cancer.
Since 1997, Estee Lauder Malaysia has been actively promoting the BCA Campaign in Malaysia by organising not only awareness programmes to educate the public on better breast health but also various fundraising activities. I still remember that I involved in one of the BCA campaigns many years ago. Thus, success tells its story as its getting bigger annually and most important of all, the awareness.
A total of RM3.5 million has been raised to support education, mammogram sponsorships and research solely in Malaysia, benefitting four organisations – Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA), College of Radiology Malaysia, The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) and the Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation (CARIF).
We have relatives and friends who are survivors and also victims of breast cancer. Breast cancer awareness is very important and we got to understand it in a hard way.
I salute the people who braved the rain for the good cause this evening in KLCC. Thus, I couldn’t be there but I will try to share the awareness as much as I could. Lastly, thanks Dann from Estee Lauder for all the beautiful pictures.
