What is the best part of traveling? Food hunting! It won’t be time consuming to convince me to go out of my comfort zone to look out for good food. That’s what my friends did when I was in Macau. The carrot is water crab congee, I never heard of it and I never tried it before so “die die” I also want to try this congee.
It is located at 28-30 of Rua da Cunha, a popular street in Taipa Macau for shopping and food. You can find many good food there namely pork burger, egg tarts and many more.
Since I went there after lunch, the mission is simple, the water crab congee. I ordered a pot and shared it with the rest. If not mistaken for half crab with congee is HKD 180 per pot.
It is a simple porridge congee with half “water crab”. The congee is cooked with salted eggs. You don’t expect to find strong flavours from this congee and the crab is fresh. I enjoyed the congee but the taste of it remains subjective. Some of my friends love it and some of my friends find it overrated. No matter how, I tasted the “water crab” and it is similar to other crabs.
