Hat Yai Cable Car

If you want to discover more than shopping and food in Hat Yai, you should visit the Hat Yai Cable Car. It is located on top of the Hat Yai Park and Guan Yin statue and it is one of the latest attractions in Hat Yai.

Hat Yai Cable Car is a recent addition to the Hat Yai Park, together with Hat Yai Observatory. There are two stations: a station at Phra Buddha Mongkol Maharaj (พระพุทธมงคลมหาราช) and another at Thao Maha Phrom (ท้าวมหาพรหม).

The beauty of taking this Hat Yai Cable Car is you can enjoy the panoramic view of Hatyai city and its surrounding area. The cable car only cost 200 baht per person and you should try it at least one time.

Thus, the second phase will add two more stations at the playground and Guan Yin statue, connecting four stations altogether.

Hat Yai Cable Car Opening Hours:

Open daily 09:00-20:00.

GPS: 7.04029, 100.51137

How to get to Hat Yai Cable Car:

The best way is to hire a taxi or tuk tuk. I will recommend taxi as the way to the top of the hill is quite steep.

Self drive is also another good option. Update your GPS with the latest Thailand map and drive your way up with the GPS coordinate given. There are plenty of parking bays up there. Self drive in Southern Thailand is easy and fun. All the roads in Southern Thailand are toll free.
