Duck Egg Char Kuey Teow at Wai Sek Kai Pudu
It has been a very long time since I eat here at Wai Sek Kai (or Jalan Sayur) Pudu. It is an alley off the ever busy Jalan Pudu and it turned to a glutton street (wai sek kai) with food stalls at night. There is plenty of food to eat here but let’s start with one of my favourites or our favourites, char kuey teow.
It is an alley so you don’t really walk far for food. There is one stall with yellow signage in Chinese wordings and that is the Char Kuey Teow stall. Their speciality is duck egg char kuey teow and the price is RM 6.00 per plate (if not mistaken).
I love my plate of char kuey teow cooked with yellow noodles and kuey teow. Everyone has their own preferences. This is comfort food and it is hard to find locals to cook anymore. Simple food is good food and it is always nice to have a warm duck egg char kuey teow for dinner.
