Samsung Social Caster for 17th Incheon Asian Games

It is official and yes, I will be cheering for the Malaysia contingent during 17th Incheon Asian Games in South Korea as a role of a social caster. This will be my first time visiting the games and I am humbled and grateful to be selected as one of the global Samsung social casters for the games. Thus, this will be my first visit to Korea too. Many people wonder what is a social caster?

A social caster?

A social caster is to broadcast live updates onto social media accounts be it Facebook, Instragram, Twitter or Pinterest. It could be words, pictures or videos but it must be real time or live. Social caster can be known also as social media influencer and they should have a strong fan base in any or in selected or every social media platforms.

The beauty of live updates is the instant reactions and the instant interactions between the influencer and followers. You can see likes, comments and shares instantly and with tools within the Facebook Manager, an organic post can be measured with the total amount of reached (eyeballed), person reached and also amount of engagement. Facts and figures are now part of social media platforms.

For social media updates, devices are important and that’s why I can always count on my Galaxy S5. I don’t want to hard sell the phone but it is really handy especially updating with 4G network and the phone is waterproof. This is not my first Samsung phone as  I was using Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Mega previously. They have different smart phones to suit your need.

For digital cameras, I prefer to use Samsung NX30 with instant share or S-Beam / NFC the pictures to my Galaxy S5 and post it on social media platforms. The NX camera offers great quality pictures and instant update! Devices with “2 in 1” function such as Galaxy K Zoom, it is also another ideal traveling / photography device. All these smart devices can be linked to other Samsung smart products too.

I will be traveling to Korea in late September to social cast the 17th Incheon Games with fellow social caster, Tian Chad and please follow my social media platforms such as Facebook Page, Twitter and Instagram if you have not done so. Lastly, remember to cheer and support team Malaysia for the Asian Games and hopefully Datuk Lee Chong Wei will end his last Asian Cup with gold in badminton and Pandelela Rinong recovers well from her injury to win gold in diving. Team Malaysia “fighting”!
