Pho’ 54 Steamboat Bangkok LA Style

This is one place you can’t find in English even you googled it. The name of the restaurant is Pho’ 54 and it is a steamboat restaurant. The uniqueness of this place is it is a Vietnamese restaurant but it claims that the steamboat is LA (Los Angeles) Style. The restaurant is located at Chok Chai 4 Soi 54; Bangkok. Don’t me how to get there as my friend brought me there and it way of course from the city.

This place is popular among the locals and we have to wait for our seats. It is a typical coffee shop style restaurant with no air conditioner.

After getting our seats, they set up the hot pot and you order the food ala-carte. It is similar to some of the steamboat restaurants in Malaysia and I am not sure whether they have set meals as I forgot to ask.

The reason I didn’t bother to ask because each plate of dishes start from 20Baht (RM 2). Yes, you read it right from RM 2 per plate!

Each plate is reasonably sized and that’s why there are so many people here. This is cheap and good food.

After over twenty plates or so, we give up and it didn’t burn a hole in our wallet. The restaurant could be hot but the food is definitely it. I always enjoy trying out local popular food than the touristy food areas.
