On our recent trip to Chiang Rai with Tourism Authority of Thailand Malaysia, we visited the Singha Park or also known as Boon Rawd Farm. We had our lunch in the park at Bhubhirom Restaurant.
Why do we visit Chiang Rai Park or Boon Rawd Farm?
Singha (the oldest and most popular Thai beer) Park is a new Agro-Tourism Attraction in Chiang Rai. The park is 8,000 hectares in size and situated 450 metres above sea level and spans over 12.9 kilometres. It is a huge park and it was a barley farm and converted to agro-tourism attraction.
The concept of Singha Park is very unique. It is a social enterprise programme, business and tourism project. Hence, they employed about 500 locals and they changed the former barley plantations to tea plantations, seasonal fruits, flowers farms and tourist attractions. Thus, on top of creating new jobs for locals, they also create new tourism attraction and generate income in a different way. What a genius concept!
It is quite common for large Thai companies to give back to the community by employing locals and creating jobs for them in permanent basis. So far we never hear of any Malaysian large companies doing such noble act.
We were there for lunch so we didn’t spend much time in the park but we saw many tourist busses coming into the park. The Agro-Tourism works and it is bringing revenue from tourists. Even, the restaurant was fully booked.
We write another story about the food we had in Bhubhirom Restaurant. In short the food is good and you can order Singha draught beer in the restaurant.
There are many attractions in Singha Park such as 8km Bike Trail, Singha Park Rock Climbing Tower, Animal Attraction, Singha Park Zipline, Farm Festival on the Hill, Farm Tour and Sports events.
If you are visiting Chiang Rai, The Singha Park is one place you should visit. The Singha Park is located at 99 Moo 1, Mae Korn, Amphoe Chiang Rai, Chiang Rai, Thailand 57000.
For more info you can visit their website at http://singhapark.com/ and they are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. You can spend a whole day here enjoying the activities in the park. This is good for couple, group friends and families. We hope to revisit the park again one day.

Singha Park is so picturesque, I will never get bored just chilling in the farm. I wish I could visit it as soon as possible!
