We were invited to taste their popular hot selling Hanjuku Cheese Tart on their first day of business yesterday. As expected, there are hiccups but we are okay with it. First of day of business is always like that.

The small restaurant is located in Mac City at IPC (Ikano Power Center) next to Nandos and IKEA and facing the main road. It is next to the exit of the Mac City and you can spot the restaurant.

For the first day, many of the owner’s families and friends were there. We were told that they baked their cheese tarts fresh and we waited for 20 minutes for it.

When it comes to good food, we don’t mind waiting and within minutes we can smell the fragrant aroma from the kitchen. Tray of Hanjuku Cheese Tarts were freshly baked and they look gorgeous.

The size of the cheese tart is slightly bigger than the usual egg tarts and it is best to have it when it is still warm.

The crust is crumbly and fragrant. The first bite surprised us as the filling of the cheese tart slowly melts. It is not like the molten lava texture but this is thicker in texture. The cheese flavour is intense and this taste heavenly. We always like to close our eyes and enjoy the taste.
