The Hui Lau Shan, the famous dessert chain from Hong Kong we all know is popular with its Mango products and desserts. The actual fact is, it offers more variety than that. Hui Lau Shan founded their first herbal drink store in Yuen Long Hong Kong in the 1960s. Their specialty is Guilinggao and herbal drinks.
With innovation, Hui Kau Shan created their popular mango sago dessert in 1992 and it has grown into the biggest dessert chain in Hong Kong with over two hundred stores all over Asia including Malaysia.
Recently, they added a creative touch to the recent “milk cap tea” trend, HLS proudly introduced the first in Malaysia’s Salty Coconut Milk series. You read it right, Salty Coconut Milk Series.
The new additions to their menu are the “Fruitpucino Coconut Milk” and “Coconut Milk Blocha” series. The drinks emphasize on the smooth textures, with a tinge of fresh coconut’s fragrance in the fruity blend, resulting in the best concoction of a refreshing taste.
We all know there are many drinks out there focusing on the ‘cheese foam’ tea series. The Coconut Milk is similar to the foam texture and it gives a creamy and salty after taste. It has the similar salty after taste and we enjoyed this coconut version too. Seriously, we never thought Coconut Milk can deliver the similar texture and taste like the ‘cheese foam’ and you have to taste it to understand it.
Thus, the “Fruitpucino Coconut Milk” series come in four exclusive favours – Mango Mint, Matcha Pineapple, Dragon Fruit and Watermelon Fruitpucino Coconut Milk. We tasted all the four flavours and this is fruit punch with the coconut milk. Depending which fruit you preferred, you will enjoy each and every fruit’s unique taste. The most recommended is the Mango Mint Fruitpucino Coconut Milk, made with the freshest high quality mangoes. The mango smoothies blend flawlessly with the thick coconut milk, and will definitely leave you wanting more. On top of that, we also enjoyed Watermelon Fruitpuccino Coconut Milk as it is very refreshing with the salty after taste from the Coconut Milk.
The “Coconut Milk Blocha” also come with four options, which is the Peach Tea, Earl Grey, Jasmine Tea and Coconut Milk Rose Vanilla Blocha. The unique Coconut Milk Rose Vanilla Blocha, which gives a magic spin to the usual floral tea, is a must-try in this series. This series is stronger in taste and yet very tasty.
Another new introduction is the “Mystery Gotcha” series that comes in four flavours made from nourishing ingredients. Pioneering in Malaysia is the nutritious Goji Gotcha. This special blend uses Jasmine Green Tea as its base, coupled with black goji, and various fruits such as mango, watermelon, passion fruit, lime and strawberries, bringing out a rich yet refreshing flavour. Black Goji Berries contain anthocyanin, one the most effective natural free radical scavenger which enhanced immunity, improve vision, improve sleep and circulation. This is definitely for the health conscious lovers and you definitely loves this series with its unique taste.
Other selections include the Endeavour Gotcha, Rosemary Garden Gotcha and Butterfly Pea Gotcha, all made from the freshest blends of fruits.
