We did a shout out post on McDonald’s Malaysia New Salted Egg Yolk Loaded Fries and McNuggets Sauce earlier today. This is the new promotional menu for McDonald’s Malaysia starting today. Thus, we went to order the McNuggets with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce without the Loaded Fries.
Some of our Singaporean friends who read our story told us that the salted egg yolk sauce (or the whole gimmick) is a disappointment. We went ahead ordering our favourite McNuggets with the Salted Egg Yolk Sauce.

The texture of the Salted Egg Yolk is thicker than we expected. The taste is salty with sour after taste. It tasted so weird, we had to taste it again and again (if you watch the video).
The McDonald’s Malaysia Salted Egg Yolk doesn’t taste like the usual salted egg yolk to be honest. It feels strange especially with the sour after taste. We lowered our expectation but the taste is so strange.
Recently, we reviewed AirAsia’s Santan Inflight New Menu Golden Butter Chicken and their salted egg yolk sauce taste way better than McD’s version.
