Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) wishes to clarify that the notice to creditors for submission of proof of debt or claim that has been circulating on social media is one of the processes of liquidation undertaken by KPMG for the old entity Malaysian Airline System Berhad (MAS), as the appointed liquidator of the company since February 2020. The matter is unrelated to MAB and is no way part of its current restructuring exercise.

In short, KPMG Malaysia Arilines System Berhad in Liquidation Notice is the liquidation of the old company and it has nothing to do with the Malaysia Airlines Berhad. Hope this clarifies the confusion.
