We know many people can’t wait for the opening of JONETZ by DON DON DONKI Sunway Pyramid. The official opening date will be on 1 Nov 2022. However, there are more interesting things happening at JONETZ by DON DON DONKI Sunway Pyramid as they are bringing in Sen Sen Sushi and Tomita Seimai to Malaysia.
DONKI’s sushi restaurant, “Sen Sen Sushi” and premium Japanese rice specialist “Tomita Seimai” first appearance in Malaysia!
Sen Sen Sushi, launched in Hong Kong in 2021, has received strong support from locals and currently has 4 stores in Hong Kong and 1 store in Thailand. Sen Sen Sushi will finally launch in Malaysia for the first time where customers can enjoy popular sushi from JONETZ by DON DON DONKI in a more authentic setting.
We were invited for the media preview and tasted a variety of sushi made at Sen Sen Sushi. We had salmon, tuna, sea urchin, scallop, white fish, yellow tail and prawn sushi.
The seafood is air-flown to Malaysia, salmon from Norway and other seafood from Japan. The most unique part of their sushi is their sushi rice.
Enjoy the combination of sushi rice made with freshly milled Japanese Koshihikari rice and our original red vinegar blend as well as fresh sushi toppings obtained from all over the world!
The Koshihikari rice is beige in color, the texture and the taste enhances the flavour of the sushi. this is something special about the sushi at Sen Sen Sushi.
For the beef sushi, they only uses Wagyu A5, one of the best out there. The taste is juicy and this is to die for. You can easily tell from the marbling of the beef. The taste of the Wagyu is so good, one is never enough.
In addition, the premium Japanese rice specialist store, Tomita Seimai will launch simultaneously for Malaysian customers to enjoy the taste of Japanese rice. At Tomita Seimai, customers may enjoy Akita Komachi and Yamagata Haenuki rice freshly milled in-store and Japanese onigiri made with Koshihikari rice from Niigata Prefecture.
We had a preview on how they clean and process the rice, cook the rice and made it onto onigiri with Koshihikari rice.
Lastly, we will be posting the JONETZ by DON DON DONKI Sunway Pyramid on 1st November 2022 on their opening day.
Please take note that Sen Sen Sushi and Tomita Seimai Opens at JONETZ by DON DON DONKI Sunway Pyramid on their soft launch tomorrow on 30th October 2022. Only the sushi restaurant will be opening while JONETZ by DON DON DONKI Sunway Pyramid will be scheduled to open on 1st November 2022. Thank you for reading!
