Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik the new Haier Malaysia Ambassadors
Today, we visited Haier Malaysia as the Global No. 1 Major Appliance Brand has launched its ‘Inspire Future Dreams’ marketing campaign, featuring the 2022 BWF World Champion men’s doubles badminton players Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik as its Malaysian brand ambassadors. The partnership with the badminton players aims to inspire all Malaysians and instill the belief that everything is possible if you work hard, and that success is a continuous journey.
On the global stage, Haier has been acknowledged as the Global No. 1 Major Appliance Brand for 14 consecutive years since 2009. Haier Malaysia has been offering innovative and quality home appliances to the Malaysian market with ‘Inspired Living’ as the brand philosophy. Haier Malaysia was awarded the Superbrands Malaysia award in 2021 and recently received the silver award for the personal, household, and outdoor appliances category in the 2022 Putra Aria Brand Awards.
Launching the ‘Inspire Future Dreams’ campaign at its new office located at Puchong Financial Corporate Centre (PFCC), Mr. Fan Jing, the Managing Director of Haier Malaysia remarked that the Haier Malaysia team has went through great lengths to achieve its current achievement, attributing its success to the Haier’s 人单合一 ‘Rendanheyi’ philosophy, where employees are empowered to make independent decisions to create value for its consumers.
Haier Malaysia recorded a groundbreaking achievement with a 33% sales growth in year 2022 vs year 2021. This reflects our consumers’ love and support for Haier. “Haier Malaysia will strive to provide the best home appliances to Malaysian, and we will invest strategically to strengthen the Haier brand stature in Malaysia,” added Mr. Fan Jing.
Mr Fan adds, “We are excited to have Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik as a part of the Haier family. They worked hard to be winners. They never stop pushing, they never stop working. They are a source of inspiration to all of us and we look forward to achieving greater heights together.”
As part of the ‘Inspire Future Dreams’ campaign, Haier is set to release a variety of marketing materials, including a brand TV commercial, in-store marketing materials, display corners and many more. These materials will showcase key visuals that prominently feature the two brand ambassadors, aimed at promoting Haier’s products and services to potential customers.
Haier, recognizing Malaysia’s love for badminton, is looking to further cultivate this passion in the country. Haier has announced plans to organize the Haier Cup badminton competition in June 2023 and this event will provide an opportunity for Malaysians to showcase their badminton skills and potentially become champions in their own right.
We strongly believed this is the right move as badminton is Malaysia’s number sport. On top of that, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik are the 2022 BWF World Champion.
With the Hari Raya festivities just around the corner, Haier has launched the ‘Riuh Raya Bersama Haier’ campaign that is running from now to May 31st 2023. Throughout the campaign period, customers will have the opportunity to receive instant free gifts or Touch ‘n Go credit, as well as enter a Spend & Win contest for the chance to win Haier products worth up to RM80,000.
