We were in Cuzco last month to visit Machu Picchu. During our trip, we were told that Transformers Rise of The Beast was filmed in a few locations in Cuzco Peru. Coincidentally we were visiting most of the Transformers Rise of The Beast Filming Locations.
Here are the Transformers Rise of The Beast Filming Locations we visited in Cuzco Peru:
Inca Sacred Valley of Incas
Main Square of Cuzco
Ccollanas Maras
Machu Picchu
Sacsayhuaman
Inca Sacred Valley of Incas is a very popular tourist attraction. We will elaborate on this place one day as the architecture of this place is smart and amazing. You might see the circles towards the bottom and the purpose of these circles are for agriculture during the Incas. The lowest part of the circle is the warmest part of the valley and by using this method, the Incas can grow tropical plants at this area.
The main square of Cuzco is the place we stayed in the city. You can find many locals and tourists here as there are schools nearby as well as pubs and restaurants.
We manage to take the photo of the Transformers Rise of The Beast Rhinox near Ccollanas Maras. We were informed by the guide they were filming at the plain area.
Ccollanas is at the Maras of Cuzco, near the Maras Salt Lake and the view here is breathtaking. We didn’t stop here because we were rushing back to Cuzco city.
Machu Picchu is one of the seven wonders of the world. We read that Machu Picchu was part of the filming of Transformers Rise of The Beast. They filmed at Machu Picchu for a few days.
We spent a few hours at Machu Picchu and luckily for us, the place was quite empty due to the recent events in Cuzco. Before pandemic, Machu Picchu was packed with tourists but now it is only 10 – 15% of tourist compare during its peak time.
Sacsayhuaman is another filming location of . We found the clip and we recognized it immediately.
Sayscayhuaman is a citadel on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco, Peru, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. This site is iconic as it comes with huge stone walls. This was built by the Incas in the 15th century, particularly under Sapa Inca Pachacuti and his successors.
We were considered very lucky to accidentally visit Transformers Rise of The Beast Filming Locations in Cuzco Peru. Will be blogging more stories from Peru soon!
