After going through some of the information online, the castle’s early history dates back to 1394 when it was constructed by a local lord named Shiba Yoshishige. However, in 1535, the powerful warlord Oda Nobuhide seized control of Kiyosu Castle. Oda Nobuhide was the father of the famous Oda Nobunaga, who would later become one of Japan’s most prominent and influential feudal lords.
