Here is the thing. When it comes to the size of street food in Penang, it is smaller than most places in Malaysia. However, this Moody Cow Café Penang offers huge cakes. Penangites love to eat cakes so much?

It has been a while since I visited Penang and I visited Phuket more mainly due to work. This time, I brought my whole family for holiday in Penang. As we venture Gurney Plaza Mall to avoid the heat, we found huge cakes at Moody Cow Café.

One slice of cake is around 600 grams and it is over RM 40 per slice. There are many types of cakes available so you will be spoilt for choices.

We ordered the chocolate cake as we didn’t listen to their suggestion and it was a mistake. The chocolate cake was too thick in flavor and hence it was really filling to finish that huge slice of cake.

Don’t get us wrong, the cake is tasty but when it is too rich in chocolate, it can be very filling. Of course, the boys enjoyed it and so do our parents. After the third bite, you will feel a bit heavy.

I love this huge cake concept and I don’t mind going back again to try and taste the other flavours. It is the Asian thing to share food so this concept works for Malaysians.

One slice of cake for over RM 40 sounds expensive but consider it is around 600 gram, it is weight as a mini cake. That is reason why, the slice of cake is good for sharing.
