Xin Ann Kopitiam Melaka

This is Xin Ann Kopitiam Melaka and they are located at 12, Jln Pasar Baru, Kampung Jawa. They are famous for their fish noodles and laksa as well as yong tau fu. I went to this restaurant recently for breakfast to check out their famous noodles.

They have been around for almost 60 years since 1965 at nearby market. Since they moved to the restaurant, the loyal customers are still coming back.

Over the counter, they offer yong tau fu and you can pick and choose what you want and they will cook it for you either with soup or deep fried.

Their signature noodles are glass noodles and I didn’t order that. Instead, I ordered only:

✔️Fish noodles

✔️Curry noodles

✔️ Yong Tau Fu

Melaka fish cakes and fish balls are different than the ones in Kuala Lumpur. The texture is softer and it do not have that springy texture. This is their version of fish noodles and the taste is slightly different than the ones in KL as it comes with lighter taste.

Curry Noodles is also different than the ones in KL. The taste of the curry is light and this is very similar to Singapore curry noodles. You can add more chili sauce for spiciness but it the taste very mild compare to the curry noodles in KL.

Yong Tau Fu is freshly made and it is pretty good. It was deep fried to crispiness and it goes well with the noodles.

Overall, the food taste here is more to the local Malaccans. The ingredients used are fresh and I don’t mind coming back to their glass noodles one day. This is Xin Ann Kopitiam Melaka.
