We got to know the news from a friend and the permanent closure of the esteemed One&Only Desaru Coast, effective today, May 1, 2025. This luxurious haven, known for its breathtaking villas, world-class service, and immersion in nature, will no longer be managed under the One&Only banner. This is the first One&Only resort in the region and the exit surprised many.
For those who have had the pleasure of experiencing the magic of this resort, the memories created here will definitely last a lifetime. From the gentle rustling of leaves in the rainforest suites to the panoramic ocean views from the grand villas, every detail at One&Only Desaru Coast was meticulously crafted to offer an unparalleled escape. The exquisite dining experiences, the rejuvenating spa treatments, and the curated adventures through the lush landscape all contributed to its reputation as a truly exceptional destination.
From what we learnt recently, Desaru Peace Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (DPH), the property owner of One&Only Desaru Coast will continue to welcome guests with existing bookings during this short transition phase.

We missed the opportunity to stay at One & Only Desaru Coast as it is permanently closed. We had a few friends who stayed at One & Only Desaru Coast and they loved it. We hope to see the One & Only brand to come back to Malaysia.
