Four 4 Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu Temporary Closed (Updated 26/6/2025)

For many Malaysians, the late-night craving for a satisfying plate of nasi lemak is a sacred ritual, and Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu has become a beloved spot to satisfy that very craving. Known for its rich coconut rice, flavourful sambal, and delicious fried chicken, the “owl” themed eatery has quickly gained a loyal following across its various outlets.

However, recent news has seen four of its branches temporarily close their doors, leaving fans wondering when they can get their next fix. While the situation can be disappointing for regulars, it’s important to understand the reasons behind these temporary closures.

Which Branches Are Affected?

While specific details on all four currently closed branches are TTDI1, SS15, Puchong and Petaling Jaya.

They might have manpower issue due to worker shortages. This was told by some of my friends after I posted on Facebook.

Is Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu Worth the Hype?

I actually tasted Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu a few months ago and here is my opinion. The highlight of the Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu is the fragrant coconut rice, the spicy sambal and different side dishes available. The coconut rice is one of the best in town and that is for sure!

So, for those missing their favourite Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu fix, keep an eye on their official announcements. The owls are merely taking a short break to prepare for even better things to come, and they’ll be back to satisfy those late-night nasi lemak cravings before you know it!
