In the heart of Kuala Lumpur, there is an award winning Chinese restaurant that is still unknown to many. Winner of Malaysia Tatler’s Best Restaurant awards, the restaurant is at Chulan Square which is just opposite The Pavilion and behind Prince Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The restaurant is a favourite to Datuk Michelle Yeoh and many VIPs and celebrities throughout the years. This is also the same restaurant enjoyed by my family for its unique fusion Chinese dishes and also the best services.
We have blogged about many good places to eat but often we missed blogging about Gu Yue Tien. However, its outstanding, creativity and delicious food shall not be forgotten.

Foei Gras in Soft Boiled Egg is one of those dishes that will leave an impression. This is not just about creativity but how well it taste. To break your curiosity, this is still available in Gu Yue Tien.
Salt Baked Iberico Spare Ribs, simple and nice!
Salt Baked Iberico Spare Ribs is also one of our favourites. We are not sure how this Spanish style dish is there but it taste similar to the original. For my one month adventure in Argentina, I had numerous encounters with Iberico style spare ribs and the only different is they grilled it in South America. This is one of the best dishes so far.
Wok Fried Fresh Water Prawns with Light Soya Sauce might sounds boring but it tastes otherwise.
Wok Fried Fresh Water Prawns with Light Soya Sauce is another good one. Had this a few months ago and this is delicious. The fresh water prawn blends well with their unique light soya sauce. Yet, these a few of many creative and yummy dishes available at Gu Yue Tien.
The reason why we recommend Gu Yue Tien as one of the best service restaurants is because they serve their dishes to single portion and it’s a norm for them to have a waiter or waitress on each table.
They have different types of individual rooms with different sizes to cater the customers’ needs. Even though it is located beside the busy road of Jalan Chulan, the restaurant is often quiet and yet cozy and comfortable.

Those ribs look amazing! We’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of great eateries here in KL. Not sure about the foie gras egg though but we’ll give it a try.
