Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋)  Setia Walk Puchong

There is a new shopping mall opened late last year in Puchong. It is the Setia’s group latest shopping mall in Klang Valley, the Setia Walk. We heard so many positive vibes about this mall so we went there late last year. The traffic direction to the mall is confusing and the car park signs were misleading.
Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋)  shop
We like the mall’s open air concept but with our hot and wet weather, it could be a nuisance. We were there for dinner and we picked Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋) on random.
Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋)  interior
It is a small restaurant but I like the interior design and the seating arrangement the restaurant.

We ordered two ramen and one side dish.

Rachel had the Spicy Tobanjan Ramen while I ordered their specialty, Mukashi Special Ramen.
Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋) tobanjan
Spicy Tobanjan Ramen, we enjoyed their broth, it was unique. The noodles were good, very enjoyable.

Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋) mukashi
Mukashi Special Ramen, like wise was good. I liked the portion of the ramen, it was generous. Ramen was over RM 20 per bowl.
Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋) grilled squid
The grilled squid was disappointing though. It was tough and the only good thing about that plate was the mayo. We don’t recommend this.

Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋)  is another new Japanese chain to open in Malaysia. In recent time, there is a surge of new Japanese ramen restaurants in Klang Valley. The demand of quality ramen is definitely attracts the supply of Japanese ramen restaurants. If you are planning to visit Yamagoya Ramen (山小屋)  do stick with their ramen.

A good bowl of ramen makes we want to turn the air con to freezing and jump in bed to watch a movie with the bowl of the hot soup.
