Restoran Yulek Wantan Mee

It is ending 2017 and we still in love with our favourite wantan mee restaurant in KL, the Restoran Yulek Wantan Mee. The mother and daughter team started small in a coffee shop many years ago before they moved on to their own restaurant a few years ago.

The restaurant is still packed like it is used to be. From morning until late lunch, it is always packed and you have to probably wait for more than 10 to 15 minutes during peak hour.

There are a few reasons why we love their wantan mee. It is not so much about their wantan but it is their char siew, BBQ pork ribs and noodles.

Their homemade char siew is three layered pork belly which means it is quite fatty. The texture of the meat is tender and the taste is really good.

For their BBQ pork ribs, the BBQ sauce carries a slight spiciness after taste but we still enjoyed it. Some of the people might not like it but we are okay with it.

For the noodles, the texture is al dente. They mixed it with the dark soy sauce and a few more ‘secret’ sauces if you watch the video.

They are closed on Tuesdays and you can spot me occasionally eating wantan mee alone.
