RAID 2010 – Classic Car Rally in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur – Penang

Last year, the inaugural RAID, presented by Oris Swiss Watches, flagged off on 5th December 2010 with 16 teams taking part in the 3-day competition. It is the first time of classic cars rally for many years in Malaysia.
Driving through Ipoh, staying a night in Taiping and finishing off in Penang, participants had to tackle tasks and answer questions in off beaten tracks such as Teluk Intan, Kellie’s Castle, Sungei Siput and Kuala Kangsar. Participants enjoyed all the scenery and also the challenges throughout the competition.
Mr. H.A. Bichsel from Organization Raid in Switzerland, founder of the original Raid: Suisse-Paris flew in personally to overlook the competition and was in the leading scout vehicle – a bright red TD 2000.
The Prize Presentation dinner were held in Penang at Hard Rock Hotel and was graced by YB Danny Law Heng Kiang, Penang State Minister for Tourism Development and Culture who was representing the Penang Chief Minister grace the evening and gave out trophies and prizes.
