I bet many who works in Taman Shamelin already knew this place. There is no better place to have the best roast chicken or char siew in Shamelin rather than Restoran Uncle Meng.
Also known as Meng Kee, it has established itself in the neighbourhood for years.
Meng Kee operates only for lunch time and the stall is open from 11.00 am.
The Char Siew or Caramelized Roast Pork is one of the best in town.
Roast to perfection, the char siew here melts in your mouth. Ask for the 3 layered char siew for the experience.
The roast chicken rice is the forte and it is usually sold out within 1 to 2 hour time. The portion of the chicken here is slightly more than usual. A plate of chicken rice starts from RM 4.50 (US$ 1.5).
A simple plate of combination cost less than RM 10, it depends how many types of combinations. Lastly, the siew yuk is worth to try as well. Good food, reasonable price, recommended.
