Lunch at Khmer Heritage Restaurant, Cambodia
Last year, I celebrated Rachel’s birthday in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We spent four days there and we loved it. We went to ten temples in one day, it was tiring but it was fun. At that time, the weather was hot and temperature during day time can reach 38 degree Celsius. It was one of the craziest things we did for some time.
During noon, we went to this Khmer Heritage Restaurant for lunch which is located near Angkor Wat. It is a small stand-alone house like shop. The place was recommended by our guide.
Rachel ordered the Mango Shake for US$2.00. The Mango Shake was refreshing and good for a weather that so hot.
Unexpectedly, they offer Ice White Coffee for US$1.25. Almost as good as from Malaysia, it is nice to taste the “best coffee of Malaysia” in Siem Reap Cambodia.
The Beef Lok Lak, a local Cambodian dish. It is marinated beef cooked with garlic, black pepper and brandy. It is serves with fried rice, egg, salad and tomato for US$ 6.00.
Lastly, we have the Aiguillette de Poulet a I’Estragon. It’s a French name dish, and the translation didn’t sound right (using Google Translate). It is the seared strips of chicken fillet accompanied by mango rice and provence tomato.
Well, the food was alright and the price is similar to the restaurants in Siem Reap. It is one of the nearest restaurants to Angkor Wat. It is just a few min drive.
