Our Balinese Honeymoon day two started with traveling to Kintamani to view the famous Mount Batur viewing in the morning. Traveling from Dreamland to Kintamani viewing site took us 3 hours mainly due to the heavy traffic.

At Kintamani, we can see the beautiful Mount Batur from far. For your info, Mount Batur is an active volcano and near the volcano there is the Danau Batur lake which is the largest crater lake on the island of Bali. From far, we can see lorry ferrying the volcanic soil for commercial purpose. There are also villages built around the volcano.

I was told that the volcanic soil was mainly used in Bali. Most of these soils were used as produce bricks for locals as we were told.

There is also tour that includes the hiking of Mount Batur and I am not sure whether is there any accommodations at the foot of the mountain.
It was not the best day for pictures as the sky was gloomy and greyish. At the time we left, it started raining and we could tell from the strong winds.
You can enjoy the scenery while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee at the stalls or shops along the Kintamani main road.
Mount Batur is located on the North East of Bali and you need to allocate at least three hours (of traveling alone) if you are staying in the region of Kuta, Legian, Seminyak and Nusa Dua.
