The Best Halloumi Cheese in South Australia

I never had a halloumi cheese before until I visited South Australia last month. The Halloumi cheese is not your ordinary cheese and it is originated from Cyprus.

The cheese is a semi-hard, unripened brined cheese made from a mixture of goats and sheep milk and it has a high melting point so it can be fried or grilled.

I tried the pan fried halloumi cheese in Good Life Organic Pizza and I was impressed and later I found one cheese factory producing the top notch halloumi cheese on Kangaroo Island.

The place is called Island Pure Dairy and it specializes in sheep cheese. They are the first sheep dairy farm in South Australia when they opened in 1992. They have the best halloumi cheese in South Australia.

On top of halloumi cheese, they also sell Manchego, Kefalotiri and Feta cheese. They also produce sheep dairy products like yoghurt and they maintain good quality on their dairy products.
