In one of the most unexpected places, I finally tasted the infamous durian puff of 1A Crispy Puffs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Jakarta. Originated from Singapore, you can find 1A Crispy Puffs in a few areas in Kuala Lumpur.
Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Jakarta is packed as usual. I remembered arriving to the airport waiting for my luggage was as if I was in a huge market. Even before I stepped out of the airport, I can feel the presence of the “wrath of Jakarta”.
Back to the puffs, so on my way flying back to Kuala Lumpur, I stumbled upon the 1A Crispy Puffs. Being myself, I ordered the infamous durian puff. On top of the durian puffs, they sell black pepper, yam, sweet corn, sardine and curry and egg puffs. I still prefer the durian.
Crispy on the outside and creamy durian fillings, it seems hard to complain. Priced at 9500 RP, it didn’t smell as much as I thought, you can easily smuggle out the durian puffs.
