Not even two weeks and some of the murals are vandalised. This is the real truth on what’s happening at Artsphere murals at The Atmosphere, Seri Kembangan. It wasn’t long I wrote the article on Artsphere launch recently and it garners lots of attention.
There are 80 3D murals at The Atmosphere, bringing art to another level to Klang Valley after Penang. However some folks have other ideas on the 3D murals, they vandalised it.
After what I’ve seen on Lin’s Advertising and Marketing Page, I’m speechless. The following pictures are sourced from their Facebook Page.

This is how the mermaid painting with the wooden plank.

The plank is vandalized and broken. They are trying to reattached the piece.

This is a beautiful piece with the actual mini.

Did someone try to steal the car? It is vandalised!
Someone broke the glass on the wall.
The 3D Snake and Ladder game missing the dice. Someone stole the dice!?

I’m not sure what did the table do wrong because someone has to break it.
I think what The Atmosphere did is a good job promoting art for the public and let them to enjoy and having fun with it. It sad to see some people are lack of civic mindedness by vandalising these arts. Why not let everyone enjoy the 3D murals than vandalising them?
This year is #VMY204 Visit Malaysia Year 2014 and I see lots of potential of this place being an attraction for tourism.

cool, hopefully they will come to Penang
saw a little boy try to forcefully pry open the car hood on the mini cooper mural yesterday. his dad was just standing there looking on without a care. even worse, this boy & his dad saw us taking photos but they just butted in & took their time posing & taking their own photos while we were still there with our dslr cameras & clearly taking photos of the mural. there was not a word of excuse me, or apology… & certainly the little boy didn’t get reprimanded by his dad for trying to spoil the mini. i really despise such parents who think it’s ok for their kids to disrespect public property, & who don’t show respect for anyone themselves. no wonder society is at an all time low nowadays.
Drunkers from nearby pub walk pass and vandalized the table and some other.
