We used to refer the famous Yulek (in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur) wantan mee as Restoran Meng Shiang wan tan mee. Well, they moved out from Meng Shiang weeks ago and they have their own restaurant now. From what I’ve heard, the owners from Meng Shiang wanted profit sharing from the wan tan mee stall and they decided to open their own restaurant.
Since 1982, Yulek wantan mee has been serving delicious wantan me to the locals and the moving to the new restaurant, the tradition continues. The new restaurant is cleaner and bigger and the waiting time is cut down with more helpers now. You just have to wait around five minutes than half an hour previously at Meng Shiang.
Moving to the new place, a plate of wantan mee with char siew and wantan starts from RM 5.00 and I noticed that the portion of the meat is more generous. The taste remains the same and the crowd is still pouring in during lunch time. Many are still unaware of their allocation but in time, it will be packed again like last time.

So Delish n I like that it’s in a cleaner place now. Service is surprisingly good n fast too. I hope they can maintain their service n speed!
