Central Embassy opens its door last year and it is one of the newest “hi-so” (high society) or luxury shopping mall in Bangkok. It is conveniently located in between BTS Ploen Chit and BTS Chit Lom stations
You can find luxury brands and food! There are many restaurants in the mall and most of them are in level five. There, you can find restaurants and cafes. One of the café that caught my attention is Tropical Monkey Boutique Ice Cream.
It is a small ice cream café and when I went there, it was packed. Probably it was lunch time but I managed to get a seat somewhere in the corner of the café.
So I checked out their menu and ordered one milkshake and one waffle with ice cream.
Oh Yummy (195 TB)
Milk shake with chocolate ice cream, brownie, nuts, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The milk shake is not as thick as I expected but it is creamy and you get the crunchy texture of the nuts.
Chocky Monkey (195 TB)
Waffles with sliced bananas, whipped cream and one scoop of ice cream and sprinkled with chocolate chips. I always prefer the waffle to be slightly crispy but their version is soft in texture. I love the combination and their chocolate ice cream is gorgeous.
I was told by my friends I should order their ice cream only as that is what they are popular for. Maybe I will come back again for their ice cream.
