The best way to travel around Japan is by purchasing the JR Pass and many FIT (frequent independent travellers) should know about this. It is a great help to save time, cost and money.

There are many Malaysians who purchase the JR Pass over the counter in Japan as many might not know that JR Pass actually available for sale in the country. On my recent trip to Japan, I purchased the JR Pass in Malaysia and activate it in the airport and it is convenient as well as less time consuming. I rather purchase it in Malaysia rather than purchasing it in Japan with either cash or credit card with additional currency exchange rates. Thus, for JR Pass activation, they just need your Passport and contact and you will be given the JR Pass and you are ready to roll!
